So, I forgot to blog, but I'm officially 21! Yay! Is it ok if I miss 17? ha ha ha jk. It came so fast though! Those are the flowers Kevin had delivered on my Bday while he was at work, they were so gorgeous, and had lillies and roses and this really pretty purple flower, I don't know if you can see it or not. Anyway, it was a wonderful birthday. It was stormy on the actual day and Kev and I were both a little sick so we rented movies and spent the whole day together on the couch, but since were usually running around it was just what I wanted. We went out for some food in the evening and the restaurant sang happy birthday to me.... somehow they found out. ha ha ha, we had appetizers and my favorite artichoke and spinache dip, yum! We also ordered drinks, and the waitress was scandelized when I just ordered water... seriously, scandelized.
On a different note, we survived our first tornado, or our first five. A week or so ago, there were some major storms going through the state, and we monitered the news but it looked like it might miss us. Then, while I was peacefully snoozing away Kevin woke me up because he heard the tornado sirens going off. Thank goodness he has awesome hearing even in his sleep. We jumped out of bed and turned on the tv, which told us to promptly take shelter under pillows and blankets in our lowest level most inner room, or our closet. So we did, Yuki was not happy, and I think the sirens scared him, they did me! They sound like the world is ending. There were five tornados across the state, only one was really close to us but it missed us directly. The next day there were trees and power lines strewn across the streets and lots of clean up but no one got seriously injured though in Anadarko some people lost their roofs.
Other things going on, I'm working hard to organize and order the Primary but it's lots of work and I'm not quite sure what I'm doing. Kev and I are taking a temple class and are planning to get sealed in Boise, yay. Kev got his patriarchal blessing, and is doing well as Young Men's advisor. We're super excited to go to Boise, three weeks! We're applying to the reserves again, wish us luck! and I'm working on some invites for my big sister's baby shower. Yay for babies! I'm going to be an aunt to two little boys soon. Woot! I think I might just go for a swim now, it's such a gorgeous day.
So you did mean big sister as in older sister, not "BIG" preggy sister, right? jk. I didn't realize you had to hide in your closet from a swirly whirly tornado! SCARY! I'm glad you three didn't get swept away. Hope you had fun the pool!! And thanks for the update on your bloggy, if I didn't talk to you practically every day I would have wondered if you were alive since you last post was almost a month ago! Scandalous.
