Thirty Nine!

Thanks for all the prayers that everyone sent our way. Kevin scored a 39 on his M16 qualifying test! Major improvements from the last times. He'd been practicing a lot, and was so exciting to get such a good score. We went out to eat at the spaghetti warehouse, yes warehouse and not factory. It's not the same thing. It was really busy downtown for a Wednesday night, reeeallly busy and there was absolutely no parking. We ended up having to pay $10 for a spot, and got the last spot in the lot before it was full. Turns out it was the Taylor Swift concert! It would have been so much fun to go! She's amazingly talented and down to earth from what I can tell. One of those rare talents, that actually earned her fame. As far as Kevin's deployment, well... it will be sometime in May. Only problem is our lease ends at the beginning so it'd be nice if we had a date or even week to plan things by. We'll stay with friends for a week and then live in the base hotel if it's longer. They should be telling us sometime soon. They also mentioned that he'll likely be gone for four and a half months instead of just four. Not thrilled about that, but whatever. When he comes home, we're going to use some of his deployment moolah for our honeymoon! Tokyo here we come! It will be winter, and I suggested Okinawa, but he hasn't been there before and the dialect is different. I think he just wants to be in familiar surroundings so he can take charge and lead the adventure. It will be my first time, excluding Canada, out of the country. I'll be moving to Boise as soon as he leaves, unless he doesn't leave until the end of May in which case my summer job demands that I be in Boise for the last weekend and would have to leave first. We just finished applying to Central Washington University for the winter semester, and are anxiously waiting to hear back. That's about it for now.
