questionable...I know.

So I'm on my own, as you likely know, and it's my first time trying to totally budget and juggle all my finances. I pinky promise I haven't been blowing my money on new clothes, or even used clothes, and definitely no more highlights or acrylics nails for me. There just seems to be less of it, especially since I've been working temp labor trying, desperately, to find a steady, reliable, 40 hour a week job, preferably with a liveable wage. Needless to say, I am fully stocked up on top ramen, and groceries like apples and lettuce are a treat. I try to get as much fresh food as possible, and do the work putting it all together myself, it tends to be less expensive this way...and much better healthwise. I want to make clear, I'm definitely not starving, and I haven't yet found the need to dumpster dive, or pick up a freshly run over dak-rat (I did hear of someone that does that!), but I did just eat food that I picked up off of the ground....before you shun me, hear me out, because this was actually a highlight in my day. So I was strolling along minding my own business when suddenly without warning two perfectly ripe, deliciously fresh, dazzling avacadoes appearred right on the ground in front of me, still in their plastic sack I might add! Well, I looked around to find the lucky owners, but alas no one was to be found, so I waited another two minutes should someone come to reclaim them, when no one did, I felt it my duty to take home and eat these avacadoes on my soon to be sandwhich. So I did...and it was delectable. And so ends the epic tale of my mid-week miracle. yay for avacadoes.

  1. My mouth did indeed start watering as I read your delicious tale of two lost avocados. And it also got me to thinking that I should go check the avocado orchard behind us that I just so happened to find the other day and see if any delectable ripe avocados have fallen off the tree and onto our side of the fence.....cuz then it's not stealing you know ;)

  2. You must be your father's daughter. Not because you found a treasure, but because you love avacados. I hope we find some, cuz I'm sure not buying them til the price goes down!
