50 Facts

50 Facts about me
1. I love most foods, but I cannot stand veggie burgers, and sweet potatos.
2. I've been a lifeguard for 6 years. I absolutely love swimming, but I'm afraid to swim alone, even in swimming pools.
3. Tics frighten me an absurd amount, and I apparently moved to the wrong place because they are supposedly hiding everwhere here in ND. I have yet to see one.
4. One of my many nicknames is Megarooski.
5. I like reading, especially on rainy days. Some of my favorite authors are Mary Higgins Clark, Jack Weyland, Charles Dickens, and Heimerdinger.
6. I was homeschooled in eigth grade, and I loved it.
7. I graduated early from high school, and went straight to college. I went back to walk with my class at graduation, and go to prom.
8. I love dancing. I've taken, jazz, ballet, and ballroom.
9. When I was in kindergarten I stole chalk, but my mom found out and made me return it and apologize. Definitely not something I've ever repeated, chalk or otherwise.
10. I love traveling and being in airports, but flying makes me sick.
11. I got straight A's my freshman year of high school, and was devastated when I got my first B from that darn Mr. Beckwith in Biology.
12. Red lilys are my favorite flower.
13. I randomly get all choked up over little things, recently in Kung Fu Panda when the penguin and his dad are reunited...
14. I sometimes wish I was still five, and all my family lived at home.
15. I like having adventures, and trying or exploring new things, I love road trips although sometimes I get carsick.
16. I hate talking on the phone.
17. When I was younger my sister and I used to exchange homemade gifts or favors, and always sign it S.S. for Secret Sister. Also, this may just be a younger sister thing, but her clothes were always better then mine and it was always a special day when I got to borrow some, even if she didn't always know about it.
18. I am a perfectionist, a tad OCD, and lazy, a horrible combination.
19. I write lists for anything and everything. Sometimes they are helpful, but mostly I just have a lot of lists.
20. I learned to play the piano, but I had a bad habit of playing by ear rather then reading the notes. I also played the violin, but have by now I'm sure lost any skill for lack of use.
21. I rarely dream, or if I do, I don't remeber.
22. When I was younger, two girls from my block and myself would play Super Mario on Nintendo every day after school and eat pickles. Nintendo still reminds me of pickles.
23. I rarely skipped class until I went to College, and then it was just too easy...but I am anxious to go back to school, and not skip. I'm majoring in English.
24. My favorite ice cream flavor has always been. and will always be Mint Chocolate Chip.
25. My favorite food is home-made soft shell tacos...with ketchup.
26. I have about a million freckles, and once on a road trip my sister played connect the dots on my legs.
27. I like skiing but I've only actually ever been on the bunny hill because I'm terrified of the chair lift.
28. I enjoy riding motorcycles.
29. My feet are always freezing cold, and I've been told my toes are like little icicles.
30. I love packing but hate unpacking.
31. When I was younger I took figure skating lessons, and am still a decent skater, I was in two shows, and own skates that fit.
32. I have had surgery twice. Once on my foot when I was five to remove a suspicious birthmark. it was a very exciting day for me. I got a teddy bear, lemonheads, and watched fern gully when I got home. All of which I remember vividly. The second time was freshman year when I had surgery on my eyes, worst experience so far in my life. The anesthesia made me sick, and when I got home I had to get back in the car to do more out patient surgery on the same day. I am also terried of being blind, and I couldn't open my eyes for a good couple of days. I had disintegrating stitches in my actual eyes. 33. I have had stitches numerous times on my feet, I have a bad habit of walking barefoot, but I've never broken a bone.
34. I love philosophy and tried debate my senior year where I won my first tournament, and was one of few to break into the second round on our class trip to Walla Walla.
35. I also did pretty well in acting and got to go to a competition with others from the school somewhere in Idaho. 36. In elementery school I won a drawing competition, and got my name in the paper, and a $50.00 certificate.
37. I love taking naps on Sundays, but they usually last three hours.
38. My first time taking midol I ODed on two pills and had to go to the ER. I had an anxiety/asthma attack. They think I'm allergic to caffiene.
39. I pass out super easily, if I don't feel well, am stressed, or sometimes if I kneel too long or don't eat breakfast.
40. I tend to have a lead foot when driving.
41. I'm afraid of the dark.
42. I can sew. I made my own quilt, and want to make some more. I can sew clothes, but I don't like to use patterns, somethings turn out, most don't, and I alter a lot of my clothes.
43. I can count to ten in ASL, french, spanish, english, german, and yiddish.
44. I have no problem seeing other people's blood, but my own freaks me out.
45. I'm very allergic to cats, and almost all other animals.
46. Sometimes I wish my life was a musical, or at least had a soundtrack.
47. I saved a lot of my notes from friends, and a lot of cards from birthdays. I keep all my keepsakes and nostalgia in a small treasure chest. I have notes in there I got from Kevin. I also have a journal entry from the sixth grade about a crush on KFH (for some reason I used his initials.)
48. I've had glasses since I was one year old, and I got contacts when I was twelve, it was a monumental day. I hope not too far in the future I can have lasik. I'm farsighted with astigmatism and strabismus.
49. I lose my phone and keys on a regular basis and don't like to carry a purse.
50. I love and adore Kevin Hinman.

  1. I really should have been getting ready for work rather then reading your fun 50 facts, but they were all so fascinating that I got sucked in! And on more then just a few of them, I could have sworn I was reading about myself....examples: passing out a lot, being 5 again, being afraid to swim alone, and of course getting choked up about random silly things (last for me was while watching King Kong, the waterworks wouldn't stop!!! I'll have to be sure to have a box of tissues when I see the Kung Fo panda movie) I learned all kinds of things about you that I never knew in the 20 years we have known each other. You'd think your S.S. would have known all that about you! Well have a good day and good luck avoiding tics!
