We had a lot of fun down at the Wharf. Our apt. was about two miles from that area, so we walked. The Wharf is made of shops, restaurants and piers. Pier 39 is the most famous. It's lined with interesting shops all the way down. One of the weekends we were in SF the Blue Angels and the navy ships came in. The show that the Angels put on was unbelievable. They do such dangerous stunts and tricks. It was incredible to watch, although on the record the Thunderbirds are better. (Air Force and all, haha) It was fun to watch regardless, but I've never seen so many people in one place in my life. We decided to take a bus home... but all the buses were shut down so we figured if we walked aways we'd find a line that was running. We ended up walking through North Beach the Italian district... on a parade day, and everything was shut down there as well. Then we walked through Chinatown on our way home, and had we managed to get on a bus there we would have been sardined and suffocated. It was a fun day regardless of very sore feet. Did I forget to mention SF is ridiculously hilly? SF is hilly, very very hilly. My calves cried. My favorite part of Pier 39 was the Hat shop. Though the store for lefty's rivaled it. Kevin is left handed.
