Comings and Goings

Mother's Day weekend we spent in Moscow watching Kevin's brother Jorah graduate from the University of Idaho with a degree in Physics. It was a good weekend, we got to see family and watch the Avengers which was really good. I really enjoyed it, and the baby slept right through the whole thing. We've been able to pretty much pack him up and take him anywhere so far.

I'll upload some new pictures of him. He's changed so much! Let's see, what else... for Mother's Day (my first!) Kevin bought me a beautiful piece of jewelry, which I will post a picture of once it's done being re-sized. In our tiny town of Ellensburg the only store that has everything is Fred Meyers. We don't have a Wal-mart, and the only other stores are strictly groceries, or boutiques. Anyway, we usually walk through the jewelry section at Freddies just for fun when we're there for groceries and Kevin remembered a ring that I had liked a lot. I'm sort of picky when it comes to jewelry and I don't wear a lot, but loved this ring alas it was a want not a need, but then I got it for Mother's Day, yay!

The weather is nice and it's so hard to focus with summer looming around the corner so school has been a challenge of late, for both Kevin and myself. He has weigh in on Tuesday for Field Training and a PT test on Wednesday, we're nervous for if he'll make weight, he's right at the edge and as far as the physical fitness test goes he's been sick for a week so his training has stopped altogether. Hopefully he makes weight, does well on the PT test and all goes well for him to leave June 12th to Alabama. If all goes well, I'll get to go to Boise for a month while he's in Training.

I've been using my Bob and I absolutely love it, it makes exercise easier when I can get outside with baby and just jog. Alexander likes it as well and will usually take a nap. He's such a calm baby. If he's awake enough and you smile at him, he'll smile back, but be warned you'll lose all ability to be even remotely upset or grumpy and your heart with either burst or melt or both. He likes bath time and splashes, a lot. He's sleeping well, but still not quite through the night. Usually he'll be up once in the middle of the night for a feeding. He's holding his head up really well, and grabbing things. I'll lay him on his stomach for tummy time but he's started to get really agitated when he can't move forward and hasn't figured out the rolling over thing yet.

All is well in the Hinman home, and I can't wait to see my Boise people. Oh and I chopped my hair off, and it feels a lot better.

Oh, Kevin got sunburnt doing a Parade ceremony thing for the AFROTC, and Alexander is almost three months, 15 lbs and a red head.
