Well, we've started another quarter here at Central and it's going to be busy! I'm taking five classes, all for my major and Kevin is taking four. So far we love them all, but it was a short week and we still have a few more to check out. I'm taking: Introduction to family studies, Consumer Awareness (love this class it's about finances, insurance, budgets, taxes etc.), Basic Sewing (LOVE), Parent Education or something I can't remember but I have that one tomorrow, and... I can't remember oh Developmental Psychology. Apparently in DP I'm going to have to raise a virtual child. That class is online. Kev is mostly just taking Japanese and AFROTC classes.
In other big news that scholarship we were put on the wait list for, then informed the time had elapsed and all scholarships were accepted so we were not fortunate enough to receive it... well something must have happened because Kevin got the scholarship $4,000! This is going to be used next quarter for out trip to Japan and we are so excited.
We went to the Doctors to get my first checkup as a preggo lady again and saw our cute little blob. We saw a little flickering that was the heartbeat and it was so neat, a really fast appointment but cool nonetheless. I also had blood drawn and we'll hear back from the lab in a few weeks, or at our next appointment. I'm not sure, and neither were the blood drawers. We were also told that I need to be wherever I'm planning to have the baby by 36 weeks which is one week before classes finish for Kevin in Japan so we're seeing if he can finish the week before. I'm nervous about the whole thing now. So basically, we'll fly back into Seattle (maybe not out of Boise as we don't want extra traveling) and then move into our new apt. As far as the new apt. goes our landlords are being really incredible about the whole thing. They are planning to transfer our deposit to the larger apts (3 bedroom with Washer and Dryer!!) if one opens up and we are the first in line if one does, however in case something does happen or a unit is not available they'll make sure we have a place to stay at one of their many properties until one does open up. They've been pretty accommodating and helpful.
We also hired a babysitter. Kevin and I have one major conflict on Wednesdays for about three hours and we put a listing on care.com to see if we could find someone. That's how I got my nannying job in Oklahoma. We interviewed five ladies and were really impressed with three of them but one stood out and her first day is this Wednesday. She has background checks, references, is a grad student at the college and teaches English 101 while she's working on her masters. She worked in her moms daycare and knows sign language, played rugby and seemed like a fun, responsible, and intelligent person. I'm nervous about someone else watching my kid and wishing I lived closer to home but I'm hoping it'll work out well. I still have to send emails to all the other inquiries and interviewees that we're turning down... blah.
OK. So... Alex has been having really weird poopy diapers for about a week. He is not dehydrated because when he cries there are tears and he's still as drooly as ever. Even thinking about this is making my nausea worse so feel free to skip over it. It's like a wet toot, there's barely anything in his diapers but they stink and it's green or yellowish liquid (enough to merit a change) but not enough to make me think oh good he had a BM so I'm starting to freak out a lil. Google is not really helpful but like I said he's not dehydrated, eating solids, and Breastmilk and I don't think anything in his diet has changed. He doesn't seem to be in pain at all, but the contents are worrisome to me, it's also more like 5-8 times a day when normally he goes days in between messy diapers. We're calling the pediatrician tomorrow.
That's all that I can think of that's going on in our world right now. Have a good week! I'll work on getting some pictures up.
