Birthday Bonanza

Saturday Morning I woke up to a plate of fresh fruit and a Bday card. Apparently Kevin had woken up early and snuck out to the store, then come home (meaning the hotel we're living at) and made breakfast and other Bday preparations. The card said that today he was going to show me the different ways he loves me, among some other sweet stuff. I know he'd asked around for some ideas, but came up with all of this on his own anyway. There were three vases on the table, one had purple tulips, one had yellow lillies, and one had red roses. There was a card in front of each. I got to pick a card, and that was how we were going to start the day. The one I picked talked about emotional love and attachment, and then he drew a bath for me with some relaxing salts he'd gotten that morning. Very relaxing. After I got ready for the day we went to the Farmers market and had so much fun trying samples and meeting new people. Everything there was organic, locally grown or made and all the meat was "happy animal" meat. We got a small german chocolate cake, some amazing cheese, some brats and a bone for Yuki, some amazing bread and a baguette.

Some of the people there had recommended we go to the Stockyards and look around. It was a cowboy town! I didn't even know it existed but I should have guessed since this is cowboy territory. While we were there I got Cowgirl boots! They are sooo comfortable. They were on clearance, but I had no idea how much boots are, on average about $200! I'd wanted to get some before we left OKC. For lunch we had the baguette and some cheese. When we came back I opened up the next card. It was about spiritual love. We have a trip to the temple planned, it was closed that day, but I'm excited to go again before he leaves. He also gave me a blessing which is something I'd wanted before he deploys. In the last card he told me how beautiful I am, and that is something I'll never get tired of hearing. I apologize it any of this is too mushy for anyone, but it made me happy. It was a great Bday!
